Industrial Revenue Push 2021
To
strengthen the 2021 revenue in SMS industrial segment must win projects have
been defined, in which channel partners will also be engaged.
First
SMS products are introduced to distribution this fall. A focus on very few
distributors will support the growth of our sales funnel for 3D sensing
opportunities. Lastly, we plan to broaden our list of partners and manage
system design houses (IDH, ODM, MM) which are playing a key role for the
industrial 3D business.

The
ongoing trend to full screen phones without a notch on the top side is driving
the sensors to go behind the OLED display. Recently ZTE launched the first
phone having the RGB camera behind the display.
To respond to this market expectation SMS has kicked off the project called
GEMINI.
GEMINI will support the development of a solution enabling 3D behind
OLED display for Face-ID application.
GEMINI
is defining a comprehensive reference solution addressing
Hardware and
Software. Its bill of material contains a combined dot projector flood
illumination, cameras and Software components. This reference is meant to
operate behind the display and enable the depth map creation for a performant
Face-ID.
